As housing prices rise in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), more people are looking to smaller cities and towns across Ontario. These communities now offer an appealing mix of affordability, growth potential, and excellent quality of life. They boast reliable infrastructure, robust local economies, and a healthy blend of modern convenience and scenic natural surroundings, making them increasingly attractive alternatives. Below is a list of the ten best cities and towns in Ontario to invest in.

Midland

Midland is about ninety minutes from the GTA, offering stunning waterfront views. Known as the gateway to Georgian Bay’s 30,000 picturesque islands, Midland’s natural harbour features the world’s largest freshwater marina. With average home prices around $500,000, Midland is especially appealing for those seeking vacation rentals or retirement properties.

Newmarket

Newmarket is a family-friendly city ideal for commuters. It offers an abundance of nature trails, modern amenities, and a lively tourism scene. As the GTA continues to grow, Newmarket is poised for rapid expansion thanks to its unique charm and proximity to Toronto.

Milton
